NON-REIMBURSABLE TECHNICAL COOPERATION NO. ATN/FP-14161-GY-FOREST CARBON PARTNERSHIP FACILITY PROJECT IN GUYANA

The Government of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana through the Ministry of Natural Resources has received a grant from the Inter-American Development Bank toward the cost of Forest Carbon Partnership Facility Project in Guyana (FCPF) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant for consulting services.
The Project Executing Unit now invites all eligible individuals to indicate their interest.
Public Relations Officer
The Public Relations Officer is responsible for the design and implementation of a communications strategy to ensure visibility of the project and to enhance buy-in by citizens and decision-makers. The Public Relations Officer will also liaise with the co-implementing entities, consultancy firms/individuals so as to help guide and highlight the progress and results of the FCPF Project, as well as, liaise with the IDB as it relates to the communications program.
Applicants shall possess: Candidates are expected to have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications, Journalism or Public Relations. A minimum five (5) years’ experience in formulating and implementing communication plans; communication efforts within governmental/non-governmental organisations; organizing campaigns and events; developing and disseminating communication materials; design and maintenance of webpages and/or social media. Prior project-related experience, experience in REDD+ implementation in Guyana and/or work experience with local indigenous communities and organisations will be considered an asset.
Consultants will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Inter-American Development Bank: Policies for the Selection and Contracting of Consultants financed by the Inter-American Development Bank GN-2350-9 and is open to all eligible applicants as defined in the policies.
